Dr. Altaher’s favorite thing in the world is helping a patient feel comfortable and confident starting at their first appointment and then seeing their oral health improve from visit to visit. He strives to deliver comfortable, tailored care that is great for the teeth while also delivering peace of mind to offer a stress-free experience. Before you meet him in person, you can learn a little more about Dr. Altaher by reading below.
Dr. Altaher knew he wanted to become a dentist towards the end of high school. It all clicked when he was told by the dentist he was shadowing that this is a career that combines the skills of so many other fields. No other job allows someone to be a doctor, engineer, businessman, and artist all at once. After having the privilege of seeing many of his own patients, this statement still holds up!
Dr. Altaher earned both his undergraduate and DDS degrees from Texas A&M University. On top of his hands-on training in school and time spent practicing, he has also volunteered at various community clinics around Dallas and participated in multiple dental mission trips abroad, giving him a wide range of experience. Still learning and improving, he is an active member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Altaher is the youngest of a family of five, with his mom, dad, brother, and sister all being engineers (making him the black sheep career-wise). In 2024, his sister and brother-in-law introduced his nephew, Zachary, into the world, and he has brought everyone so much joy being the first grandchild in the family. While he grew up fencing, you’re most likely to find Dr. Altaher weightlifting these days to stay active. He’s also a big music lover, enjoying all genres, and likes to travel, having lived abroad and visited over 20 countries so far.
